The PFPC is the centre of a cluster that supplies basic key science to a variety of important commercial and applied enterprises, many of which have grown out of the PFPC. The Centre is focused on the production of knowledge in the area of colloid and interfacial science enabling activities where the basic knowledge has been, and is being, applied.
The PFPC brings together staff and students from across the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Mathematics and Statistics along with the School of Chemistry to form one of the world’s leading multi-disciplinary research centres in interfacial science and engineering.
We welcome your enquiries about opportunities available within the PFPC for research collaboration, the services that we provide for industry, as well as career and educational opportunities.
We like to think of the PFPC as the hub that supplies key science and knowledge to a variety of important commercial enterprises that will add value to advanced particulate fluid and material products that are produced from Australian resources; these are our spokes.
The structure of our “hub and spokes” model is illustrated above. At the centre the PFPC is focused on the production of knowledge in the area of colloid and interfacial science and engineering. Emanating from the core research knowledge is a range of activities where the basic knowledge has been, and is being, applied. The largest of these are shown.
